AcuSense is Hikvision's AI-based detection technology that distinguishes between humans and vehicles versus other motion sources such as animals, leaves, or lighting changes. Conventional motion detection triggers an alert on any movement. AcuSense only triggers alerts for human or vehicle movement, dramatically reducing the number of irrelevant notifications without missing genuine security events.

Yes. Hikvision ColorVu cameras use a combination of a large aperture lens and a supplemental warm light emitter to capture full-colour video in near-dark conditions — down to 0.0005 lux. Unlike infrared cameras that capture black-and-white footage at night, ColorVu cameras produce colour images that allow identification of clothing colour, vehicle colour, and other details. They are most appropriate for entry points and areas where colour detail matters after dark.

Hikvision cameras connect to a Network Video Recorder (NVR) or the HikCentral video management software for larger deployments. HikCentral supports multi-site management, live view, recording search, and event management from a single console. Remote access is available via the Hik-Connect app on iOS and Android. Sentire installs and configures the NVR or HikCentral as part of every deployment and provides training for designated operators.

Yes. Hikvision cameras integrate with ZKTeco access control via I/O relay connections, enabling a camera to trigger a recording or display at a specific door when an access event occurs. Hikvision also manufactures its own access control readers that integrate with its DS-K series controllers. Sentire designs integrated physical security systems where CCTV and access control share a unified event log.

For reliable licence plate recognition, we recommend a minimum of 2MP resolution at 25 frames per second, with the camera positioned to capture the plate within a specific angle range (within 30 degrees horizontal, 20 degrees vertical). For face recognition, the camera should produce a face image of at least 100x100 pixels at the required distance. We size and position cameras specifically for these requirements during the site survey rather than applying a generic specification.
